As evidenced in Kobe, Northridge, and Seattle, the shaking intensity of a forceful earthquake can cripple the unprotected office in seconds.

Least affected are companies that take the precaution to fasten down their office contents for just such a contingency - PCs, computer terminals, and other important equipment essential to their business. The rewards are significant - minimal business disruption and departments functionally intact.

- Los Angeles Business Journal

Fastening Solutions, Inc., in business since 1991, originated with a request from the U.S. Navy to design a product to keep shipboard equipment secure during excessive movement or motion. This version of the fastener became the prototype for the Thumb Lock.

The transition into the earthquake safety field was a natural one securing computers, printers faxes and other office equipment in the corporate, hospital/lab and school environment as well as the residential market.

As evident in the Loma Prieta, Northridge and Kobe earthquakes, the intensity of a forceful earthquake can cripple the unprotected office or home.

FSI is expanding on Thumb Lock's versatility even more with its over whelming popularity in the boating and recreational vehicle markets, using the same idea of keeping things in place during movement or motion
