Peter and Felicity: Managing directors
Prior to opening Transmar services in 1993, Peter and Felicity had owned their own trucking business, and had been a mobile truck mechanic for quite a few years. Then they purchased Hope motors, a garage and petrol station in Hope on the outskirts of Nelson. They grew the business over the next 5 years and in 1986 they purchased Domtrac Equipment, located in Quarantine Road, and renamed it Truck Service Centre Ltd. With the purchase of Domtrac Equipment they took over the parts and service agencies for Mitsubishi, Kenworth, Leyland, Cummins, Sumitomo, and John Deere. During this time they continued to build the bussiness and aquired furthur parts and service agencies.
In April 2003 Transmar services opened thier new larger premises in Riverlands Industrial Estate. The new building has enabled Transmar Services to increase the stock levels of their preferred parts and service suppliers, Cummins and Caterpillar engines, Kenworth, Foden , Daf and Volvo trucks.
