A masquerade party can be a great event with everyone joining in it can be as simple or as extravagant as you wish.

In addition to masks we also sell other accessories - cigarette holders, handcuffs, affro wigs, fish nets, eyelashes, moustaches etc. etc.

We are always adding to our stock of costumes and our Kill Bill costume has proven to be popular.  You may have spotted a male version of Kill Bill at the Sevens!! An unusual choice for a stag function but was well received by all!  Other popular Stag costumes include Fairies, brides!! or what about Anna Kournikova?

Other recent additions include our cute little Drindl dress, Ginger Spice, new go-go girls and a cute new bunny girl.  We also have a set of great cheer leaders in red,white and blue.

Our wigs are renewed frequently - our new lush curly wigs with fringes are extremely popular - they come in a choice of colours auburn,blonde and black.

When you hire a wig from The costume company you can rest assured that they are clean and fresh it is our policy to wash and condition each wig after each hire, they are then combed and kept on blocks to keep them at their best.

Every autumn as the grapes get heavy on the vines a race is held in Martinborough to raise funds for the local school.  There are four options for those wishing to take part, a 21km or 10km course as a run or a walk.  So what has this got to do with the Costume Company?  Well participants are encouraged to take part in costume with many spot prizes.  Add to this the fact that the course goes through six vineyards with wine tastings available,  a beautiful scenic course and you have a recipe for a fun day.

The Costume Company entered a team for the first time last year and we supported the organisers with costumes for publicity photographs.  Our team entry was a wild west theme complete with three saloon girls, one sheriff and a horse.  If you want to find out more information and take part in this great family event check out the website www.roundthevines.org.nz.
