St Claws is a purpose built exclusive cats only facility situated on a 10 acre rural setting but only 15 minutes drive from the CBD. It has been functioning for 16 years and is currently owned and operated by Anna and Donald Nairn. We live and work full time on the property giving secure access at all times. We are genuine cat lovers and our commitment is to give you the best possible service, and provide your cat/s with a relaxed stress free holiday whilst in our care.
Agriquality Approved Premises
St Claws has been is a 5 Star Agriquality (N.Z) Approved Premises for the past 7 years. We are currently no longer a member of this association. However we do operate our Cattery professionally and with pride, insuring our hygiene standards and safety procedures are followed and maintained at all times. This gives you peace of mind that your cat/s best interests are our priority whilst in our facility.
Comfort
We do provide everything for your cat/s stay with us, however if your cat/s have a favorite blanket or own bedding you are welcome to bring this,(Sorry no bean bags). Scratching posts and toys are also welcome, or you could buy them a special holiday treat from our range of cat accessories.
Menu
We feed premium brand foods such as Iams, Proplan, and Hills Science Diet catering for all diets and life stages such as kitten, adult, senior, light, oral care, senior hairball and hairball diets. We also feed Whiskers and Chef tinned food. If your cat requires a special diet please bring this along with you, we will happily feed this to your cat/s.
Veterinary Care
Should your cat/s require any veterinary care during their stay we endeavor to use your preferred vet where possible. However in an emergency we would use our very competent on call vet.
