Meats
At Pet Essentials - Whangarei we carry a large range of meats and minces that are preservative free and made to our recipes. The meats are frozen and free-flow for easy use and are packed in 1kg bags (approximately). Our selections of minces are blended together for your pet's special tastes and are frozen down in meal size portions. Generally the meats we stock are chicken, chicken necks, beef, venison, rabbit, lamb, fish and mixtures of the above such as steak and kidney, beef and lamb, heart and tongue and many others. All of the meats and minces are displayed in freezer cabinets for your convenience.

Pet Rolls
We have a variety of pet rolls available including our own Pet Essentials branded rolls that have been formulated specifically for us. Being a cold filled roll makes freezing them a breeze because when defrosted the meat does not crumble or go watery. Our rolls come in a variety of sizes (2kg, 2.5kg, 3kg, 4kg), and flavours including garlic and chicken. We have a working dog roll and a 95% fat free roll, which includes rice and veges. Possum rolls, and lamb and venison rolls which provide a different taste sensation, and do not have to be refrigerated until opened, complete our range

Birdseeds
At Pet Essentials - Whangarei we stock solely the Topflight birdseed. This is available by the sack lot (pre-ordered), by prepared bags, or as self service from our pots. We have chosen Topflight as our birdseed because it is grown in New Zealand and NOT heat treated. The imported seeds have to be heat treated before they are brought into the country and because of this they do not have sufficient nutrient value in them. Therefore birds tend to flick the seeds away. Many of our customers have noticed the improvement when changing from supermarket brands. We also stock a range of rabbit, guinea pig, rat and mouse foods.

Accessories
At Pet Essentials - Whangarei we carry a large range of pet accessories and toys and our stock is turning over all the time. We have a great relationship with our many suppliers, some of whom do not supply every pet shop. As there are so many stock items available to us we cannot possibly stock all of them - there are simply thousands and thousands. Our policy is that we will do our utmost to supply you with the product that you require as soon as possible - it's not a problem - we do it all the time.

Premium Foods
At Pet Essentials - Whangarei we stock a number of premium dried foods including Iams/Eukanuba, Hill's Science Diet, Nutrience, Royal Canin, Nutro and Supercoat. We can also supply other brands when requested. With one exception, these premium pet foods carry loyalty schemes, which you as our customer can take advantage of. Other dried brands stocked are Bonnie and Pal Pedigree. Our own Pet Essentials biscuit is popular and are bagged personally from our self service bins for your convenience.

Courier Service
If you would find it more convenient we can offer a courier service to anywhere from Auckland -> North, most with same day delivery for both frozen and non frozen products.
