For taxi users who travel the same route on a regular basis (eg from home to work) then New Plymouth taxis will give you a VIP card. This gives you a fixed discounted price for your taxi ride on the prescribed trip. Regardless of traffic holdups or the route taken which can affect the metered fare you will only be charged your VIP Card contract price. Ring the office (06 753 0046) or ask your driver if you qualify for a VIP card.
Student Discount
If you are enrolled at a Secondary or Tertiary educational facility (e.g. WITT, University, PEI etc) and can show the driver a current valid student I.D. card then you will get a 10% discount on your taxi fare. (Only applies when paying by cash)
