New Plymouth Taxis contract out our call taking to Auckland Coop Taxis so that every time a customer rings New Plymouth Taxis 757 3000 the call goes to the Auckland Coop Taxis call centre.

This enables us to keep our costs down and therefore keep the price of taxi fares down. It also gives us access to the latest in telephone and computer despatch technology. The Raywood computer system used by New Plymouth Taxis uses a GPS based despatch system resulting in the most efficient use of the taxi fleet and thus minimising waiting times for the customer.

When you call New Plymouth taxis the caller ID technology will recognise your number and if your number has been templated (your address entered into the database) then the computer will read your address out to you. You can order your taxi by simply saying: "Ready now" at any stage and the computer will confirm that your taxi has been ordered and despatch a taxi to your address. If you wish to speak to an operator then at any stage you can say: "Operator" and your call will be transferred to an operator.
