Hi! My name is Garin Duggan and I am married with three young children. I have been in the entertainment industry for 16 years working with bar promotions, being an MC for radio promotions, opening act for Mike King, involved with Joe Cocker, Billy Connolly, Black Eyed Peas concerts, official DJfor the Barmy Army Wellington and organizing performances of international live bands, but predominately having a passion being a DJ.
At the beginning of 1999, I decided to turn my part time mobile DJ Business into a full time job, called Hire a DJ. Hire A DJ is a small business and will stay that way so we can maintain the personal touch. Through this, I believe that I can provide a higher level of service, while still providing top quality equipment with very competitive rates. Hire a DJ can provide for any type of private or corporate function.
 It is my policy that all our DJs go through our internal training courses and follow up courses. This covers equipment, set-up and up-grading, what type of music to play on the night, the latest music, dress standard and MC voicing. We also have in place an ongoing assessment practice. This means Garin does spot checks on all DJs. This is to ensure that the level of service is maintained at all times. This is not only to maintain our reputation for quality DJs, but also means the venue's reputation of a high standard of entertainment is being kept.
