First Choice Forklift Training Ltd are OSH Registered as well as beign registered with NZRT&LITO and the LTSA to give Unit Standard 18496 (F Endorsement).
What does this mean to you??
An OSH registered trainer gives a high standard of training (which meets the OSH criteria) to drive a forklift on company premises.
A NZRT&LITO and LTSA registered trainer gives a high standard of training to drive a forklift on the road (F Endorsement)*. This is also a recognised Unit Standard by NZQA.
This means our training can qualify you to drive a forklift on company premises AND on the road.

* A full New Zealand Drivers Licence is also required in order to get the F Endorsement.
As all of our customers know, customer service is paramount to us and therefore we make it our business to exceed expectations in all aspects of our training...from the important and functional checklists, hazard cards and customer manuals that are given to all customers at no extra charge...through to the unexpected site visits that has the desired effect of keeping all forklift operators on their best behaviour (as you never know when he will appear next).
First Choice Forklift Training Ltd is not a company that will turn up for training, never to be seen again until the next booking or when the 3 year expiry is due. ONE THING WE DON'T TEACH!

At FIRST CHOICE FORKLIFT TRAINING we guarantee none of your employees will be taught any of these techniques...however they will be taught safe techniques, and WHY product, machine and personnel safety is so vital in their role as a forklift operator.
By the end of the course we will have implemented procedures that can result in an ongoing safer working environment, less product damage and fewer machine repairs due to operators using the machine in the correct manner.

First Choice Forklift Training Ltd come to YOU
Due to Refresher Courses and F Endorsement Courses taking far less than a day in duration it is more cost effective if we come to you.....that way your employees are ready to return to work as soon as the course is completed.
Secondly, it is logical that the employees are taught in a workplace and on a forklift that they are familiar with. This way they can ask questions specific to their situation and the instructor can advise drivers and management on cost effective alternatives (if any) that may be suitable for their company.
Lastly, we do not take your forklift out of production for the entire time of the course. Both Refresher and Beginner Courses theory is approximately 4 hours in duration. For Refresher Courses the practical driving is approximately 15 minutes per person. Whilst the student is carrying out their practical assessment we can adjust the assessment to include the normal forklift duties - for example if a truck comes in we can unload it, rather than make it wait. This scenario is the same for Beginner Drivers but naturally we will need time learning the machine before we can get the driver doing day to day forklift activities to avoid product damage. However due to the Beginners Course generally taking 7-8 hours the first part of the students training falls around lunchtime when most company forklifts tend to not be in urgent use.

INSTRUCTOR FLUENT IN SEVERAL ISLAND LANGUAGES

WE HAVE AN INSTRUCTOR FLUENT IN SAMOAN, TONGAN AND NUIEAN!
The training is only as effective as the training provider! Therefore a key aspect in training is to ensure the receiver of the training understands it in order to learn and improve.
Therefore if English is a second language to any of your employees...and there first language is either Samoan, Tongan or Nuiean it is only common sense to train them in the language they know best.
We are the only company to offer this service to date!
And what is more important is that you won't pay a cent extra for it!
