The FLOW‑MIX dispenser is a pressure tank system which adds treatments over a regulated period. Our METERING MANIFOLD allows control of the amount of water going through the tank with regard to the amount that by‑passes the tank. THIS IS NOT A DUMP TANK SYSTEM. Therefore the full amount of treatment is supplied to the water troughs as the contents of the dispenser slowly dilute, at a rate set by the farmer, thereby giving the required time frame for dispensing the treatments as required. This allows small or very large herds to be treated on short or long term patterns with just one machine.

The system of in‑line dispensing for soluble animal treatments is long proven. This new design is simple and gives superior mixing action while also giving trouble free, long term service. The water flow mixing action ensures that there is a constant supply of treatment available to your stock through their water troughs. The high grade stainless steel construction provides a long lasting maintenance free tank for use in the farm dairy or other farm situations.

The spherical shape gives excellent water flow mixing action as the farm water flows into the tank on its way to the troughs in use on the farm.

You simply dissolve into a slurry the treatments you require your animals to have during the next treatment period and add the mixture to the dispenser.

INSTALLATION OF YOUR FLOW‑MIX DISPENSER
If possible, water for HOUSEHOLD or DAIRY SHED USE should be drawn from a SOURCE OTHER THAN from that WATER BEING TREATED FOR STOCK USE. Where potable water is required from a system a suitable BACK­FLOW PREVENTION UNIT must be IN‑LINE to prevent discharge from the dispenser into that line. It is extremely important that all local regulations are heeded with regard to BACK‑FLOW PREVENTION. It must be realised that as the dispenser acts as another pressure vessel, treatments in the dispenser will flow to any draw‑off point; including towards a pump when the pump is not pumping.

TO OPERATE/ ADJUST YOUR FLOW‑MIX DISPENSER
The in‑flow trough water line is connected to the bottom valve on the tank and the out‑flow is the centre valve [ bottom two yellow handle valves ]. Our METERING MANIFOLD is connected to these two valves on the tank. This allows the by‑pass valve on the manifold to regulate exactly how much water is passed through the tank. With a coloured mixture, observe the clearview discharge line, how long it takes for the discharge water to go clear. Open the by‑pass valve for less mixture from the tank (longer discharge period), or partly close it for more mixture (shorter discharge period). Care should be taken to pre‑treat the paddock trough so that the first drinkers will also be treated. Please beware that some remedies , like bloat oil, should not be available to stock younger than 12 months.

TO CHARGE THE FLOW‑MIX DISPENSER WITH TREATMENTS
First dissolve into a slurry, the treatment mix you wish your stock to have over the next TREATMENT PERIOD. Then close both of the pressure water line valves [ bottom two yellow handle valves ] Then slowly open the higher valve on the side of the tank and the top valve [ red handle valves ] to drain the pressure and some water from the tank; close the side one again. Now pour the treatment into the funnel and close that top valve. Both red handle valves should be closed. Open the yellow waterline valves to restore pressure and flow through the tank to the troughs.

• SWINGS THE JETTERLINE DOWN FROM ITS OUT OF THE WAY STORAGE POSITION ABOVE THE MILKING PIT, FROM WITHIN THE PIT.
• LOWERS THE JETTERLINE TO IN‑USE POSITION AT BELT HEIGHT FOR THE OPERATOR.
• NO ROPES, PULLEYS, SPRINGS, WIRES, RUBBERS.
• JUST GRAB THE JETTERLINE WHEN YOU ARE IN THE PIT AND IT SWINGS DOWN AND AUTO LOCKS DOWN FOR USE.
• FOR USE WITH NIPPLE / RUBBER CUP TYPE, UNDER‑THE‑LINE JETTER HEADS and also ALLOWS ON‑TOP‑OF‑THE‑LINE JETTER TYPES for INVERTED CLAW CLEANING.
• UNLOAD THE MILKING CLAWS AND SWING THE JETTERLINE UP TO ITS CLEAR, CLEAN, OUT‑OF‑THE‑WAY STORAGE POSITION.

Our patent pending 'RONGOTEA SWINGARM JETTERLINE' was released to the dairy farming community at the 1996 NEW ZEALAND NATIONAL FIELDAYS. We were proud to be awarded the prestigious PROTOTYPE AWARD at that event. Many dairy parlors where equipped with our SWING‑ARMS as a result of the awards. With refinements and improvements we went to the 1997 N.Z. NATIONAL FIELDAYS AWARDS and where rewarded with the NEW EQUIPMENT AWARD.

Our invention allows the milkplant jetterline to be stored above the head of the tallest operator and when required it is swung down to a comfortable height for loading the milking claws for plant washing. As this system holds the whole jetterline in rigid stainless steel clamps, it allows the use of the new clip‑in type jetter heads to be fixed to the top of the line. These jetters would previously have had to have been mounted on the pit wall.

RONGOTEA SWINGARM JETTERLINE MOUNTING.
Washing the claws in this inverted configuration gives greatly increased surface area contact and fluid contact time giving major cleaning benefits. At the completion of the machine wash, the milking claws can be hung up or left in the inverted claw ( clip‑in ) jetter heads and used on the first row of cows. If you do this , the vacuum buttons on the claws do not have to be changed for plant start‑up as the jetterline becomes part of the vacuum system. When unloaded the jetterline is swung up from in the milking pit , with little effort, into the storage position above, with the aid of counter‑weight arms. This mounting swings the jetterline laterally along the length of the direction of milkline. The cleaning fluid is supplied to the jetterline via a food‑grade flexible tube fixed to the jetterline and allows jetterline movement as required.

We install one SWINGARM at 2.0 or 3.0 metre spaces along the jetterline ( at each crossmember ), as would normally be required to hold the washline. THE RONGOTEA SWINGARM JETTERLINE MOUNTING is supplied COMPLETE with STAINLESS STEEL TUBE CLAMPS and our versatile FITTING KIT, ready to install alongside the milkline at each `A' frame along the milking pit. The swing­down action brings the jetterline 1.0 metre below the storage position and requires 1.0 metre headroom above the pivot point , a total height of three metres from the floor of the pit. We can arrange installation anywhere or assist your local machine fitter.

A TYPICAL INSTALLATION REQUIRES ONE SWINGARM MOUNTING AT EACH CROSSMEMBER @ $ 170.00 each. ABOUT TWO METRES OF SPRING‑FLEX TUBING @ $ 48.00 each. Plus freight. plus G.S.T.

INSTALLATION of SWINGARMS in a 20 bail unit can take about 5 hours.
