DEEPSTAR CHARTERS


M.V.DEEPSTAR was built in Picton in 1979 as a Fishing and Diving Charter Boat. She caters for, live on board parties of up to 10 passengers plus crew. She holds 5000 litres of fresh water, 2500 litres of fuel. Full size toilet and shower facilities aboard. Up to 20 passengers can be carried on day trips for fishing.

Fishing Information

Public Trips: These trips operate daily (share with other people).
• Depart Tauranga 7am or Mount 7.30am
• Mount - 4.30pm. Tauranga - 5pm
• $80.00 Adult
• $70.00 Senior Citizen
• $60.00 Child (15 years and under).
• Rod Hire $20.00 (includes all tackle)
• Bait $15.00 tuatua (if available), $10.00 baby squid (1 kg), Whole Bonito

Full Day Private Trips:
• Depart 7am Tauranga, 7.30am Mount
• Return around 5 pm
• $1200.00 Sat - Sun
• $1100.00 Mon - Fri
• Max 18 - 20 people.
• Rod Hire as above
• Bait as above

Private Overnight Hapuka Trips:
• Depart 6.30pm Tauranga, Mount 7.OOpm
• Return 6.30pm the following evening
• $1300.00 Sat - Sun
• $1200.00 Mon - Fri
• Max 10 people (Mayor Island)
• $1800.00 per day White Island (please note you need 3 days minimum).
• Hapuka Bait only is supplied on all hapuka trips.
• Rod Hire $30.00 (includes all tackle)

Overnight Public Hapuka Trips:
• $130.00 per person
• Haupuka bait supplied
• Cooked breakfast supplied
• Depart Tauranga 6.30pm, Mount 7.OOpm.
• Return 6.30pm

Drop Off to Mayor Island
• Adults $70.00 one way
• Children $60.00 one way

Departure times daily are:

• Tauranga 7am
• Mount 7.30am
• evenings at 6.30pm from Tauranga (when chartered on overnight trips)

Return times daily are:

• 3.30pm from Mayor Island to Main Land, 5.30pm to Mount, 6pm to Tauranga

Ranfurly Banks:

• $1840.00 per day (max 8)
• $230.00 per person
• Travel to Hicks Bay to load boat

Gift vouchers available.

A deposit (only applies to private charters, group bookings and public hapuka trips) is required when booking has been confirmed. This will be refunded if the trip is cancelled due to the weather or a new date made which suits your party. All cancellations made by skipper.

All Charters provide their own food (unless specified) and cold drinks. Tea and coffee provided.

A bbq is on board for your use if you wish (private charters only), plus oven and hobbs.

For overnight trips you need to supply your own sleeping bags, warm clothing, gumboots or similar (a necessity) pillows are available.

We are the only charter boat within walking distance of the Tauranga CBD.
