I have an existing Roller door, can I have a Sectional door installed?

Sectional Garage Doors take up less headroom (the space above the doorway) than a Roller door, so provided you have enough backspace (further into the garage, along the ceiling - no beams in the way) then you can certainly have a sectional door fitted. Our team will always ensure a site measure is carried out prior to any door being manufactured and we can check all measurements for you. If needed we can advise your builder if any alterations are needed.

I don't have much room above my doorway, can I still have a Sectional door installed?

Standard headroom applications require 300 mm of space between the bottom of the opening header and the unobstructed ceiling. However, Craftwork Construction specializes in custom-built applications. A variety of special track options are available and make it possible for many unusual garages to be fitted with doors. By using low-headroom track, it is possible to install a door in an area that has as little as 200mm of headroom.

What happens to my old door when I get my new sectional door installed ?
Your garage door installer can arrange for existing doors to be taken out and dumped for you (for a small fee), alternatively you may wish to arrange this.
How safe is the CWC Sectional Garage Door?

CWC Sectional garage doors are very safe and secure with all manual doors having locking systems.

Sectional doors are held firmly against the door frame by the track system, this defies forced entry. The Sectional Door locking system consists of a spring-loaded catch on either side of the door, which engages automatically when the door is closed. The door can be opened from the inside, or from the outside using a key.

All doors are recommended to have a CWC Power lift automatic garage door openers installed for added security. The CWC Power lift is a secure method of locking all garage doors when not in use (can be used on Sectional doors or One piece Tilted doors).

How do I maintain my Garage Door?

All garage doors are like cars, if you maintain and clean your car often the longer it will last.

  • Door panels can be washed with a mild detergent using a soft car brush.
  • Hinges and spring can be lubricated with lithium spray, if needed.
  • Doors with timber finishes should be cleaned and maintained according to the timber finish
    manufacturer's recommendations.
What happens if there is a power cut with my automatic door opener?

All CWC Powerlift openers can be disengaged for manual operation. The Powerlift has a manual release handle, with just a pull of the cord the door will be disengaged for manual use. Once the power supply resumes, the CWC Powerlift will automatically re-engage when you push the remote button.

Can I get a replacement Garage Door Remote or Transmitter?

Craftwork Construction stock all remotes as well as all other parts such as keypads external key release, locks, latches etc. etc.

The door operates by the wall button, but not from the remote?
