Corina is not just restricted to weddings based here in the beautiful Bay of Plenty or  New Zealand as a whole. On the contrary over the past few years Corina’s horizons have broadened and she has had the privilege of designing for clients who have chosen to marry both in New Zealand and their home country, including Canada, Ireland , England , Pacific Islands, Australia , Japan and Switzerland.

"The skills and knowledge earned over that period allows me to create a Gown that not only suits your physical attributes but uses the chosen Fabric to complement the overall design.”

Corina’s vast experience in design, coupled with the Clients unique ideas, pictures, inspirations and the theme of the Wedding, has allowed Corina to create the perfect look for countless Brides.

“Discuss your requirements with me and discover how easy and stress free the creation of your dream gown can be."

We endeavour to minimize unnecessary appointments to create as little stress as possible for our clients. These appointments can be booked in and around work or study hours, on weekends and after hours where necessary. Friends and family members are also more than welcome to join in on these appointments.

  At your first Consultation:

As Corina loves to invest quality time into her clients dream designs, she prefers to work by appointment which ensures her clients have her full one on one attention. The first appointment is your initial consultation, you need to allow approximately an hour for this session.

This is when you relate your themes, colours, Ideas, pictures and design aspects etc, and the intended gown is designed and sketched. Corina will touch base with you on most every aspect of your bridal party, giving great tips, experience, and helpful guidelines. Corina will discuss the overall look of the gown and not just the dress, as underwear, veil, jewellery; flowers, shoes, makeup and tanning come into play to create to look of your dreams.

Things for you to consider when coming to see Corina, is setting yourself a realistic budget. Corina will strive to get the most out of your budget. The extensive range of fabrics to chose from vary considerably in price. For example: 100% silk satins are eminently going to be more costly than a polyester satin, so this too must come into consideration when discussing fabric options within your budget.

Corina has an extensive range of fabrics in a huge range of colours – these are represented by colour swatches for your convenient viewing.

A full set of measurements is then taken - unless the Client wishes’ to post-pone them till a later date. (Pregnancy, weight loss or gain, advanced bookings, and health etc does sometime come into play, Corina is highly flexible to the wishes of her clients.)

At your second Appointment:

A Calico of your intended gown will be fitted, so allow approximately half an hour. A Calico is a mock of your gown from mid thigh to shoulders, which is then tailored to your torso – creating a perfect fitting gown. This process enables you, the benefit of seeing how the final garments’, neckline, shape and straps appear and also help you to visualise the final detailed aspects of your gown, which can then be decided upon, this also allows for any design adjustments to be made.

The fitted calico then becomes the pattern for your master piece.

At your third Appointment:

The third fitting is the dress fit - allowing approximately an hour. This a full dress  rehearsal which involves trying on all options in veil and jewellery, to complete the desired overall look. When the gown is tried on, the fit and drape of the fabric is checked, slight tweaking is noted, hems are finalized and also detailing is confirmed.

At your final Appointment:

The fourth fitting is the final dress fit – allowing again approximately thirty minutes to an hour. This is the full dress rehearsal which also includes a crash course in deportment, walking, sitting, posture, veil and train positioning, and the best photo angles are discussed. Final payment of your gown is made and your Gown will be ironed, hung, placed into a clear plastic protective sleeve, and ready for your big day.
